This will remove: 42 - all stopped containers 43 - all networks not used by at least one container 44 - all dangling images 45 - all build cache 46 Are you sure you want to continue? Use the `--volumes` 66 flag when running the command to prune volumes as well: 67 68 ```bash 69 $ docker system prune -a --volumes 70 71 WARNING! This will remove: 72 - all stopped containers 73 - all networks not used by at least one container 74 - all volumes not used by at least one container 75 - all images without at least one container associated to them 76 - all build cache 77 Are you sure you want to continue? Older versions 110 > of Docker prune volumes by default, along with other Docker objects. On older 111 > versions, run `docker container prune`, `docker network prune`, and 112 > `docker image prune` separately to remove unused containers, networks, and 113 > images, without removing volumes. 114 115 116 ### Filtering 117 118 The filtering flag (`--filter`) format is of "key=value". If there is more 119 than one filter, then pass multiple flags (e.g., `--filter "foo=bar" --filter "bif=baz"`) 120 121 The currently supported filters are: 122 123 * until (`<timestamp>`) - only remove containers, images, and networks created before given timestamp 124 * label (`label=<key>`, `label=<key>=<value>`, `label!=<key>`, or `label!=<key>=<value>`) - only remove containers, images, networks, and volumes with (or without, in case `label!=...` is used) the specified labels. 125 126 The `until` filter can be Unix timestamps, date formatted 127 timestamps, or Go duration strings (e.g. `10m`, `1h30m`) computed 128 relative to the daemon machine’s time. Supported formats for date 129 formatted time stamps include RFC3339Nano, RFC3339, `2006-01-02T15:04:05`, 130 `2006-01-02T15:04:05.999999999`, `2006-01-02Z07:00`, and `2006-01-02`. The local 131 timezone on the daemon will be used if you do not provide either a `Z` or a 132 `+-00:00` timezone offset at the end of the timestamp. When providing Unix 133 timestamps enter seconds[.nanoseconds], where seconds is the number of seconds 134 that have elapsed since January 1, 1970 (midnight UTC/GMT), not counting leap 135 seconds (aka Unix epoch or Unix time), and the optional .nanoseconds field is a 136 fraction of a second no more than nine digits long. 137 138 The `label` filter accepts two formats. One is the `label=...` (`label=<key>` or `label=<key>=<value>`), 139 which removes containers, images, networks, and volumes with the specified labels. The other 140 format is the `label!=...` (`label!=<key>` or `label!=<key>=<value>`), which removes 141 containers, images, networks, and volumes without the specified labels. 142 143 ## Related commands 144 145 * [volume create](volume_create.md) 146 * [volume ls](volume_ls.md) 147 * [volume inspect](volume_inspect.md) 148 * [volume rm](volume_rm.md) 149 * [volume prune](volume_prune.md) 150 * [Understand Data Volumes](https://docs.docker.com/engine/tutorials/dockervolumes/) 151 * [system df](system_df.md) 152 * [container prune](container_prune.md) 153 * [image prune](image_prune.md) 154 * [network prune](network_prune.md) 155 * [system prune](system_prune.md)
