     9  The Deis community welcomes and encourages participation by **everyone**.

    11  No matter how you identify yourself or how others perceive you: we welcome
    12  you. We welcome contributions from everyone as long as they interact
    13  constructively with our community.

    15  The Deis developer community continues to grow, and it is inevitable that
    16  disagreements and conflict will arise. We ask that participants conduct
    17  themselves according to these principles:

    19  - **Be welcoming, friendly, and patient.**

    21  - **Be considerate.**

    23    Your work will be used by other people, and you in turn will depend on
    24    the work of others. Any decision you take will affect users and
    25    colleagues, and you should take those consequences into account when
    26    making decisions. Remember that we're a world-wide community, so you
    27    might not be communicating in someone else's primary language.

    29  - **Be respectful.**

    31    Not all of us will agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse
    32    for poor behavior and bad manners. We might all experience some
    33    frustration now and then, but we cannot allow that frustration to turn
    34    into a personal attack. It’s important to remember that a community
    35    where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one.

    39    Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other participants.
    40    Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or
    41    exclusionary jokes are never appropriate for the community.
