Experimental features are **not** ready for production. They are 5 provided for test and evaluation in your sandbox environments. 6 7 The information below describes each feature and the Github pull requests and 8 issues associated with it. If necessary, links are provided to additional 9 documentation on an issue. As an active Docker user and community member, 10 please feel free to provide any feedback on these features you wish. 11 12 ## Install Docker experimental 13 14 Unlike the regular Docker binary, the experimental channels is built and updated nightly on https://experimental.docker.com. From one day to the next, new features may appear, while existing experimental features may be refined or entirely removed. 15 16 1. Verify that you have `wget` installed. 17 18 $ which wget 19 20 If `wget` isn't installed, install it after updating your manager: 21 22 $ sudo apt-get update 23 $ sudo apt-get install wget 24 25 2. Get the latest Docker package. 26 27 $ wget -qO- https://experimental.docker.com/ | sh 28 29 The system prompts you for your `sudo` password. Then, it downloads and 30 installs Docker and its dependencies. 31 32 >**Note**: If your company is behind a filtering proxy, you may find that the 33 >`apt-key` 34 >command fails for the Docker repo during installation. To work around this, 35 >add the key directly using the following: 36 > 37 > $ wget -qO- https://experimental.docker.com/gpg | sudo apt-key add - 38 39 3. Verify `docker` is installed correctly. 40 41 $ sudo docker run hello-world 42 43 This command downloads a test image and runs it in a container. 44 45 ## Current experimental features 46 47 * [Support for Docker plugins](plugins.md) 48 * [Volume plugins](plugins_volume.md) 49 50 ## How to comment on an experimental feature 51 52 Each feature's documentation includes a list of proposal pull requests or PRs associated with the feature. If you want to comment on or suggest a change to a feature, please add it to the existing feature PR. 53 54 Issues or problems with a feature?
